This was a fun breakdown of a very busy weekend in the world of sports!
We started off talking about some huge trades in the NBA. We put a capper on the NBA season. We kept talking about basketball but discussed the Olympic tournaments and especially the big US loss to France to open the games. There was also some chat about the Canadian women's loss to Serbia in their opening basketball game. We got into discussing more of the Olympics from Tokyo and how the nations are doing and we talked about the new sports that have been added to the games for the first time. We talked about some NFL QB's and the disputes they had with their respective teams. Aaron Rodgers looks poised to sign a new contract with Green Bay and Deshaun Watson wants out of Houston and the are trying to trade him finally. The UFC card was full of comebacks and should forever be known as the comeback card! TJ Dillashaw was returning to the Octagon after a two and a half year absence. He was caught doping and was given a two year ban from the sport. The former two time bantamweight champion was able to pull out a huge win over Cory Sandhagen in his return. The rest of the main card all had comebacks from early adversity and was one of the most entertaining cards of the year. Thanks for your support and go to our website for more www.completesportsmedia.com and give your support to our partners and sponsors. #Eurocup #Danceparty #FOMO #Boatparade #Grandslam #Wimbledon #TeamUSA #NBA #UFC #HomerunDerby
On the heels of an epic weekend we did our recap of the weekend in sports!
The Euro Cup reached a very dramatic conclusion as the final happened on Sunday. England was hosting in Wembley Stadium against Italy as a fantastic tournament reached its crescendo! England thrilled the home crowd and the nation with the earliest goal ever as Luke Shaw scored just two minutes into the match. The entire country was thrown into a frenzy as they have been starving for a major football trophy for a couple generations. The 3 Lions then seemed to take their foot off the gas pedal and go into a park the bus formation for most of the match. Italy tilted the field and took over control and finally capitalized in the 67th minute as Leonardo Bonucci tied the game at one. Italy sustained an attack but were unable to get a second goal to decide it. Even 30 minutes of extra time didn't break the deadlock and forced penalty kicks to decide the champion of Europe. In a very dramatic shootout Italy were the crowned the kings of the Euro when their goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma saved the final shot on goal. The party happened all over the world in Italy and little Italy in most major cities on the planet. We showed some footage from our local gathering that spurred on a street dance party.
We touched on the Stanley Cup boat parade that looked really fun especially for Nikita Kucherov who has had an epic celebration going for a week!
We discussed the incredible Wimbledon victory for Novak Djokovic who has now joined the elite mark of 20 Grand Slam titles! The big 3 with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal now all sit tied with 20 Grand Slam titles each. Novak has won the last three and seems poised to become the G.O.A.T. if he is not already. The Joker now has his sights set on the Calendar Slam as he will head to the US Open in late August into September. Rod Laver with his Calendar Slam in 1962 in the only other man in the Open era to win all four in the same year.
We briefly talked about the basketball Team USA struggles as they have lost the opening two games to Nigeria and Australia in the exhibition schedule heading towards the Tokyo Olympics in a couple of weeks. They had a record of 54 and 2 in exhibition play leading into this week. Nigeria is the first African Nation to ever beat the Americans. Just nine years ago the US team beat Nigeria by 83 points and 5 years ago also blew them out by 43 points. The team has to regroup and figure out how to gel as a team and try and not embarrass themselves.
The conversation remained in basketball but shifted to the NBA Final where Milwaukee scored a decisive victory winning big 120 to 100 in game three. Phoenix is still up two games to one but have now had doubt crept in to their domination of this series. The Bucks are now 8 and 1 at home and looked really good in making this a series. The Phoenix Suns had their issues after playing two great games in Arizona. Devin Booker had an off night and didn't play much down the stretch as the game seemed out of reach early. Deandre Ayton was in early foul trouble and wasn't able to play much either. Giannis took big advantage of the absence of the big man and was huge with 41 points 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Game 4 goes on Wednesday and all signs point to this series being tied at two games apiece after this next game.
The UFC 264 card was held on Saturday at the T Mobile arena in Vegas in front of a sold out crowd. The main event was the trilogy fight between Dustin " Diamond" Poirier and The Notorious Conor McGregor. The animosity was amped up for this one and the anticipation was huge. Unfortunately the fight had a tough ending as McGregor broke his leg near the end of the 1st round and couldn't continue. We showed a TikTok post by Conor after he endured 3 and a half hours of surgery to repair the damage done to his leg. There was a lot to unpack with this one.
The co-Main event was an incredibly impressive performance from Gilbert Burns over Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson. We broke down the 12 fight card and discussed so many aspects of the great stacked evening.

This was a great podcast talking about NBA and UFC and some other topics .
The NBA Finals are set as the Milwaukee Bucks outlasted the Atlanta Hawks and punched their ticket to the dance. They face the rested Phoenix Suns who have been waiting a while after handily dispatching the LA Clippers. This should be an intriguing matchup with some fun story lines. Giannis Antetokounmpo is still suffering from a severely hyperextended knee and missed the last two games of the East Finals. He will probably miss some of this upcoming series which gets underway Tuesday night.
The UFC 264 card is upon us and the much anticipated trilogy fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier looks poised to happen Saturday night. We broke down the fight and card as a whole previewing much of the festivities.
We discussed the upcoming UFC 265 card that features the headliner for the interim Heavyweight belt between Derrick Lewis and Cyril Gane.
Finally John Dodson former UFC fighter was involved in a car accident over the weekend with his wife and kids and a go fund me page has been set up to help with costs and loss of income. http://gofund.me/98164f1b if you want to donate.

#Heatwave #NBA #Conferencefinals #EuroBasket #UFC
We are experiencing a heatwave locally and so we are just trying not to melt. Most are staying indoors and using fans and ice and sports to stay cool! We discussed our methods to keep cool and go without sleep and try and survive!
The conversation eventually got to the NBA playoffs and the Conference Finals. The third game between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Atlanta Hawks was last night. Atlanta was controlling the game until the late third and fourth. Ice Trae Young tweaked his ankle as he stepped on the foot of the official standing behind him and left the game. The Bucks took advantage of the young leader and kept feeding Kris Middleton who was lethal and deadly. The Second banana of the Bucks outscored the Hawks himself 20 to 17 and contributed to a 25 to 7 run to win the game 113 to 102. The Bucks take a two games to one lead in the series and look poised to take a stranglehold on the series.
In the Western Conference final the Phoenix Suns are on the verge of securing a berth in the final for the first time since 1993. They employed some old school basketball winning a defensive grind out game 84 to 80 in game 4. Game 5 is tonight at 6 PM pacific and if the LA Clippers don't win this series is over as Phoenix is up three games to one. Kawhi Leonard has already been ruled out and he has been sorely missed. Ivica Zubac has been utilized a lot in this series and is questionable to play tonight. It seems very unlikely that the Clips will be able to completely stave off elimination.
We showed some highlights of the women's Euro Basket tournament and the big win for Serbia 63 to 54 over France. This was their second ever title but was an upset. Congratulations for winning a great tournament.
The UFC was in Vegas again and showcased the Heavyweight division. The Main event had top contenders Cyril Gane facing Alex "Drago " Volkov in a five round titanic battle. Gane was incredibly dominant and really was able to show his superiority inflicting damage and barely taking any himself. The Co-Main event had Canadian Tanner Boser facing Ovince St. Preux and had some unnecessary controversy. Boser was his usual fast moving and damaging self in the first round and won the round handily. The second round was going the same way as the first until OSP got a takedown. The fighters were scrambling for position when Boser reached his hand up the cage. His fist was closed but many thought he was grabbing the fence to pull himself up. The referee Jason Herzog momentarily approached the fighters to see if Tanner was utilizing an unfair advantage. He realized that it wasn't anything illegal and allowed the fight to continue uninterrupted. Boser was able to get back to his feet quite soon after and pressed the action. Tanner landed a knee and a shot to the side of OSP's head and dropped him and started smashing him as Herzog stepped in and stopped the bout this time. The camp for OSP is protesting the decision and want it to be called a no-contest. We will keep you posted as to a decision or ruling.
There were a lot of other great fights broken down by Jason and Darren. Also they looked ahead to UFC 264 in tow weeks featuring the trilogy fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.

We had a great guest today as we welcomed in Barry Grant Jr. from the All Even Podcast to talk sports!
This week has been tough because we have had audio troubles and don't know why. We hope that we can get this sorted out so great podcast episodes like this will be easier to listen to!
This was such a fun and enjoyable conversation that we hope this can become a regular thing.
It is incredible to see someone doing something they love and seem like they were born for it. This is definitely the case with Barry when he does these podcasts. He told us that his family said "What took you so long"! His passion for sports is inspiring and comes across when he talks about it. He has a lot in common with our host Darren Campbell and many of our sports analysts. It was nice to find out all of his favorite teams as it gave them a lot of subject matter. His is a Lakers, Mets, Islanders and Cowboys fan and he has amazing stories about his teams!
It was great to breakdown the NBA playoffs with Barry as he has an incredible insight and knowledge and strong opinions on the story lines from the Association. His picks were Milwaukee and Phoenix to meet in the final. We were recording just as game 6 between the Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers was about to begin. The hawks are trying to knock off the #1 seed in the East. The late game has the LA Clippers trying to close out the Utah Jazz in game 6 as well. The Jazz were the #1 tezm in the West and in fact the league in the regular season. Barry refered to this season aas one right out of the Twilight Zone. If Atlanta and LA win tonight it will be the first time since 1995 that not one of the #1 seeds have made the final.
We discussed his love of the New York Mets and MLB. He has such great stories that show he bleeds blue and orange for the Mets.
Living and working on Long Island has made him and an Islanders fan and provided him a lot of great and fun times especially when he used to work directly across the street from Nassau Coliseum.
We started wrapping up our conversation by finding out who his NFL team was and were kind of shocked to hear that it was the Dallas Cowboys. He loves Jerry Jones as he reminds him of Vince McMahon the outspoken owner of the WWE wrestling. He thinks the Cowboys will have a great season this coming year!
We all had a blast watching and listening in to this conversation with two very passionate sports fans. Give it a watch and listen even if it doesn't sound perfect.

#UFC #TannerBoser #Heavyweight #Funnystories #Shocore
We had a fun in depth conversation with Tanner "The Bulldozer" Boser the UFC Heavyweight Contender. We apologize right off the start because we have been experiencing audio problems and we have a terrible echo on this episode. We think we have found the reason for the problem. Robbery was the most utilized word on twitter the night of Tanner's last UFC appearance on June 5th. The majority of people that went on to his personal feed said that the Canadian talent should have won the judges decision when his fight with Illir Latifi was over. The shock was real when the scorecards were read and the split decision went the Swede's way. It was hard to fathom that two judges gave two rounds to the "Sledgehammer" as the quick footed Boser seemed to have won the first two rounds, The judge that gave the nod to Tanner scored the second round 10 to 8 when he almost finished Latifi. That was easy to see that perspective and made people question the skill level and ability of the other two judges. Scoring and judging has long been in question in Mixed Martial Arts and the UFC. Most observers and followers of the sport see the obvious flaws and have been asking for a change for years. Lets hope that more careers are not so negatively affected by incompetence.
So long story short Tanner is coming off another tough loss that should not have counted as one. He lost a close decision to veteran Andre Arlovski in his prior fight to this one. Tanner is worried for his career as he has seen many fighters given their pink slips and cut from the promotion after three straight defeats. Tanner has asked for a quick turnaround fight in July or August and awaits his next opponent. We here at Complete Sports hope that he can rebound with a big victory and put these tough losses in his rear view mirror and move back uo the ranks. We talked about many aspects of Tanner and his life and it was a treat to get into a lot of fun exchanges.

#NHL #Petes #Leafs #Wings #Canucks #ALS #Awareness
This is a very special conversation with a very remarkable guy. Mark Kirton forged his early life in pro hockey and we discuss many aspects at length. He played 520 AHL games that he is even more proud of than the 280 NHL games that he played in.
His second career was as a top real estate agent as he won awards and became very successful. Life had really been dealing him a great hand as well as his career success and he had a great marriage and three healthy kids.
Life took an unexpected turn when he went on a holiday to the Bahamas and he felt a twitch in his right arm then more and more symptoms started happening as the months went on. He decided to try and get a diagnosis on what was happening to his health. After three years and some mis-diagnosis and no answers he and his family were dealt a terrible blow as he was told he had ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease. The doctor told them that the outcome is that typically people live 2 to 5 years with this before they succumb to it. Mark wants to be on the long end of that scale and even last much longer than that. He has become a crusader and he has raised a lot of money and awareness for this affliction. His schedule has filled up with appearances like this and we really appreciated his valuable time.
There are a lot of ways you can help this cause and people like Mark so please give up some of your valuable time and get behind a cause like this. If you want to donate directly to the places that Mark wants to help out just go to twitter @KirtsSpeaksALS for the details. His twitter campaign leading up to June 2nd LOU GEHRIG DAY and June 20TH END ALS WALK during ALS AWARENESS MONTH has been a huge success so far. They have already raised over $75K in 3 weeks for ALS CANADA so you can contribute to them or ALS Action Canada. The upcoming event that happens on June 20th is a virtual walk for a cure is something that could really use our help to get behind.
So many former teamates and hockey people have been amazing and sent Mark videos supporting him and there are many to see here https://twitter.com/i/status/1396934328047783936 and then click on PROFILE to see a couple dozen short ALS awareness videos. As you will see the response has been phenomenal. Another great spot to donate to is Sunnybrook ALS Research Donation and the link is https://bit.ly/3fuzNr

#2analysts #UFC263 #1yearanniversary #Gilariverarena #Arizona #Champs #NBA
There are audio issues that we are aware of and trying to fix we apologize and we will do our best to address it soon.
We had our regular Monday analyst Jason Cameron join us and then surprised him with Scott Holburn joining the conversation for our one year anniversary show! It was a lot of fun to have two of our top analysts together and there was some chirping of course! It seems like there will be a jiujitsu grappling exchange between these two in the future. That will be must see TV and we will be there recording it for a future episode.
It was great being able to breakdown the UFC 263 card. There were two title fights with one of the belts changing hands. The fight that happened right before the two co-main event fights seemed to get most of the attention because of Nate Diaz. Leon Edwards absolutely dominated 24 minutes of the five round battle until Diaz landed a huge shot in the final minute. Nate almost finished the fight with a KO but Edwards survived the late onslaught. Diaz still moves the needle even getting beat handily.
In the main event Israel Adesanya absolutely crushed the Italian Dream and made it a nightmare for him and all of his camp and fans. It was a completely one sided contest and proved how dominant the Style Bender is over the entire division. The co-main event was for the Flyweight title and was a rematch between Champion Deiveson Figueiredo and challenger Brandon Moreno. The first fight ended in a draw and prompted this rematch. This time Moreno was dominant and ripped the belt from Figueiredo's grasp. He becomes the first Mexican born champion in UFC history. We had fun discussing almost every element of this historic card.
We said good bye to Scott and then closed out the episode with a breakdown of the NBA playoffs.
The Suns were the first to advance to the Conference finals with a sweep of the Denver Nuggets. The rest of the series are tight and were fun to dissect.

#NBA #Playoffs #UFCApex #UFC263
We did our weekly podcast one day early and had a great conversation about the NBA playoffs the latest UFC card and looked ahead to two more cards.
The 7th game of the series between the LA Clippers and the Dallas Mavericks had just finished as we were about to start today. We got into breaking it down immediately. and had fun talking about this great series that LA was able to take by winning the final two games and the first one by a home team in the entire 7 games. Kawhi Leonard was the difference and had a bit better supporting cast than Luka Doncic who was incredible this season and especially this series. We talked about game 1 in the Atlanta Hawks vs the Philadelphia 76ers that was all Hawks who were typically leading by 20 points all game until the final minutes. Philly mounted an incredible comeback that eventually fell just short. Joel Embiid the MVP finalist this season was questionable going in to this game but was able to play and was very good and looked pretty healthy. We discussed the series between the Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks and the Titanic battle that should ensue between these two powerhouses. The Nets were dealt a huge blow in the first minute of the first game as their all star guard James Harden hurt his hamstring and left the game not to return. The other two all stars on the Nets stepped up and delivered a huge game one victory. Blake Griffin turned back the clock and had 18 points and 14 rebounds to be a huge factor in this win. We spent a bit more analysing the other matchups and it was fun getting into it with JC.
We leaped into the cage and talked about the latest UFC card that featured three heavyweight battles with two of them being the Main and Co-main events. Jairzinho Rozenstruik delivered a huge KO with one second left in the first round as he dispatched Augusto Sakai with a couple of huge powershots! He collected 50K for the dramatic finish and performance and so did Marcin Tybura for his huge TKO win over Walt Harris. Harris "The Big Ticket" had Tybura in all sorts of trouble early as he landed some big blows and came very close to finishing the Polish fighter off. Tybura then took Harris down and imposed his will and when he finally had his back and flattened him out Mark Smith the ref jumoed in to stop the onslaught. The other heavyweight tilt had Tanner "Bulldozer: Boser facing Iliir "Sledgehammer" Latifi and was a good battle that went to the judges scorecards. The majority of viewers expected that the Canadians hand would be raised but it was a split decision for Latifi much to the chagrin of the fans North of the border. This result led to more complaints on poor judging results that seem to happen on every card. We hope here at Complete Sports that this is not to much of a setback for Tanner and he gets a fight set up soon so he can rebound with a victory. There were a bunch of other fights brokedown in this discussion so enjoy the conversation!

The launch is upon us for the Complete Media Network!!! The level of excitement has reached a fever pitch here at our headquarters. Complete Sports Media is excited to be joining the prestigous Complete Media Network. Jason and Darren had their weekly podcast and they had a very fun and entertaining conversation. The two sports analysts eventually looked over the new website that will have an official soft launch tomorrow at 9:00 AM. It is great to see and hear Jason's reaction to the many elements of the site.
The guys started talking about their mutual love of food and it will make you laugh! They began the sports talk with the Indianapolis 500 race that ran yesterday. The race track worked with the local health authority and they agreed on a fan capacity of 40% of the max capacity. That figure is 135,000 patrons and it brought an energy to the race and festivities that hasn't been seen in 14 months. The Pandemic forced the sport to go without fans for a stretch and has slowly started allowing more and more people to attend live races. This was extra special and was historic as Helio Castroneves won his 4th Indy 500 race at 46 years young. He tied legendary racers AJ Foyt, Al Unser Sr. and Rick Mears are the ony drivers in history to have 4 wins at the famous brickyard. Castroneves said in the post race interview that he felt great to be part of a kind of geriatic sportsman club with 43 year old Tom Brady and 50 year old Phil Mickelson who both won major championships this year!
The talk turned to the huge game 7 in the NHL playoffs between the overwhelming favorite Toronto Maple Leafs against the underdog Montreal Canadiens. The Leafs seemed to have this series well in hand until the Habs won two straight overtime games to stave off elimination and force a deciding winner takes all game. The Winnipeg Jets await the winner of this series.
The first round of the NBA playoffs is just a week old and all 8 series are in full swing. We broke down all 4 matchups from each conference with only one decided so far. Watch the breakdowns as there is some great insight from the boys!
This past weekend was a rare weekend off for the UFC but the top MMA organization is back at it next weekend. The guys analyzed the Main and co-main event as well as a few others. Tanner Boser a recent podcast guest here at Complete Sports Media will be in action against Illir Latifi in heavyweight clash on the preliminary card.

#NBA #Openingweekend #Upsets #NFL #UFC #UFCApex #UFCVegas27
We had a lively discussion about the long weekend and the easing of restrictions starting tomorrow. This pandemic and constant messing with our lives and freedoms has taken its toll. It will be nice when life will feel much more normal again.
We were on the heels of the opening weekend of NBA playoffs as all eight series got under way. We were excited to breakdown the opening games of every matchup. There were some upsets and tight games and it was fun to break them down. In NBA history in 7 game series the winner of the opening game has gone on to win 76% of the time so it has proven to be very important to get off to a good start.
The #1 seed in the West the Utah Jazz were upset by the #8 seed Memphis Grizzlies but the late scratch of Donavan Mitchell was tough on the Jazz. Even though the Phoenix Suns are the #2 seed in the West a lot of pundits predicted the #7 seed Lakers are going to win this series. So when the Suns won game one many were calling it an upset. The #3 seed Denver Nuggets lost to the #6 seed Portland Trailblazers as the guard matchup is so one sided for the Blazers as Jamal Murray will not play this postseason for Denver. Dallas Mavericks won as Luka Doncic had a 30 point triple double to lead the way for their mini upset in the #4 VS #5 Matchup they have against the LA Clippers .
In the East #1 is the Philadelphia 76ers who dominated the Washington Wizards with the great scoring from Tobias Harris and Joel Embid and great game from Ben Simmons. The amazing backcourt of Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal didn't have enough to overcome the depth of Philly. The Brooklyn Nets are the #2 seed and their big three of James Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving scored or assisted on 98 of 104 total points in their victory over Boston. The #3 Milwaukee Bucks outlasted the Miami Heat in overtime. Both teams struggled to score but Kris Middleton was good and hit the winning bucket. Madison Square Garden was the host to a playoff game for the first time in years and it was rocking. Trae Young was electric and silenced the boisterous crowd with his winning shot in the final seconds as the Atlanta Hawks beat the New York Knicks. The playoffs continue and will be fun to watch.
The NFL had trade requests and news on some disgruntled QB's that we mentioned briefly.
The UFC held a Vegas 27 card and we had fun discussing the fights and breaking them down. The Main event was Rob Font facing Cody Garbrandt and it was a one sided match.

#NBA #TripleDouble #Record #BigO #Westbrook #NFL #DKMetcalf #UFC
Our weekend had a strange thing happen as we got locked down on on island after a gang shooting closed all the bridges and tunnel. We decided to just watch sports so we could be entertained and get ready for our podcast!
This was an incredibly fun podcast as we talked about the week in the NBA. The biggest story has been Russell Westbrook"s pursuit of the triple double record in the NBA. Oscar Robertson put up 181 triple doubles in his illustrious Hall of Fame career. Westbrook tied it with a triple double on Saturday. We were recording the podcast hours before the Wizards and Westbrook were to take the court against the Atlanta Hawks. We were very certain that he was going to set the record this evening. We discussed many elements as the regular season entered it's final week.
We showed some clips of DK Metcalf in the NFL and at his recent 100 meter race that he was competing in. He has become almost legendary with his speed on the field for the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL. We talked about the incredible story of former NFL QB Tim Tebow resurrecting his career as a Tight end for the Jacksonville Jaguars. We finished our football talk about the Aaron Rodgers speculation of the Green Bay Packers trading him.
We broke down the latest UFC Card that had Marina Rodriguez facing Michelle Waterson as the Main event. There were a lot of fights that dropped from this card and we went into detail of the issues that arose. We brokedown the main card in detail.

This podcast blanketed the weekend coverage of the UFC, NBA and the NFL draft.
We started with the UFC and the main event between top contenders for the Light Heavyweight division. Dominick Reyes was coming off two title fights as he lost a close decision to Jon Jones and was knocked out by Jan Blachowicz. He was initially the favorite as he faced a relative newcomer Jiri Prochazka who had only one UFC fight prior to this match. This turned out to be the fight of the night and was a war that Prochazka ended with a spinning elbow KO with 31 seconds left in the second round. This win gives him the next title shot against the winner or Jan Blachowicz and Glover Texeria scheduled for UFC 266 in September. The card was fun to watch and also enjoyable to breakdown.
The NBA is heading into its final weeks and the playoff picture is really taking shape. The top six teams in each conference will be waiting for the results of the play in tournament between places 7th through 10th place. With the playoffs just around the corner the games have taken on a level of importance and competiveness. We talked about some of the established stars and emerging talents from the association.
The NFL was showcased this weekend as they held their annual draft and it provided all 32 organizations with immmediate help. With the NFL typically players can contribute and play almost immediately because they are drafted after four years of college and are men. The other sports the prospects are kids and they need time to develop. It was fun to watch and see these teams and young men converge and see their lives change in an instant.

#UFC #MMA #Canadian #TannerBoser #Heavyweight #JiuJitsu #Karate #MuayThai #Kickboxing #WorldTraveler #Alberta #Edmonton #ShoCore
This is a real treat to have this big guy as a guest for our sports podcast. Tanner ""The Bulldozer" Boser is a rising contender in the UFC Heavyweight division who has had 5 UFC fights. Tanner has a great and fun loving personality and we enjoyed our time with him. The UFC has scheduled a fight for June 5th for Boser against Illir Latifi the Swedish Heavyweight of Albanian descent. We spent a lot of time getting to know Tanner and were able to find out a lot of great things about his life. We have mutual friends in the band ShoCore and we thank Corey White and the band for helping us make this podcast episode happen!
A lot of people and especially Canadian Mixed Martial Arts fans have been seeing a huge progression in Tanner with his strength and conditioning and his career. He has now become more well known off two big Knockouts in a one month span in the UFC Heavyweight Division. He has some of the best footwork in the division and has lethal leg kicks. His candor and no nonsense way about him has endeared him and helped contribute to his increasing popularity. He has a mullet, long beard and is missing one of his front teeth and that seems to appeal to many fight fans. We found him gracious and forthcoming as he talked about his life, career and even tough topics. We hope that you enjoy his conversation with us and you become fans of his as much as we have. There are a lot of stereotypes when it comes to Canadian's and Albertan's and he checks many of the good boxes when it comes to where he is from. He has led a typical life in some regards but luckily has had some great people in his life to help him achieve his goals and dreams. He started working at his Mother's gym and was able to start learning Jiujitsu and Karate at a very young age. He decided to leave his small home town of Bonnyville at 21 years of age to get more MMA training and opportunities. He has now travelled the world to countries like Russia, Kazakstan, South Korea, Australia, England, Abu Dhabi and Dubai and of course the US and Canada to fight and pursue his MMA career. His adventures and jouney have shaped his life and career and we are glad that he has emerged as a great contender and he is a big success story from Canada.
We wish Tanner all the best in the future and really appreciate his valuable time. Thanks for tuning in as always!

We had another great podcast episode with Jason Cameron who helped us breakdown the big UFC 261 card that had three title fights scheduled. This was a bit historic as it was the first time since Covid hit that they allowed full capacity of fans as they held the card in Jacksonville, Florida.
This card was incredibly stacked and had former champion Chris Weidman facing off against Uriah Hall. This didn't seem to be the fight we would focus on first but that changed. This was one of the most talked about fights after because Weidman suffered a horrific compound fracture of his leg only seconds into the battle. He threw a low kick to the leg of Hall and when Hall checked it Weidman's leg snapped on the impact. The strange and ironic part of this result was that in July of 2013 the exact same thing happened to his opponent Anderson "The Spider" Silva and handed Weidman the UFC Middleweight Championship Belt. We played a short clip from Weidman that he posted from his hospital bed as he tried to update his followers. We hope that he will make a full recovery and be able to get back to doing what he loves in 2022.
The card had three title fights on the night and was entertaining throughout. The main event pitted the Middleweight Champ Kamara Usman defending his belt against Jorge Masvidal for a second time. This was a dominating KO victory only 1 minute into the second round. In 50 pro fights "Game Bred" Masvidal had never been knocked out and hadn't been finished in 12 years. Usman will now be facing Coby Covington for a second time. In the first matchup Usman broke Coby's jaw and was dominant in victory.
In the Co-Main event Rose Namajunas upset the Champion of the womens Strawweight division Weili Zhang. "Thug" Rose threw a high head kick and dropped the champ and finished the fights with shots on the ground. Rose became the first woman to ever recapture the titler after losing it.
The other title fight on the card had womens Flyweight Champ the "Bullet" Valentina Shevchenko proved once again that she is the dominant fighter in this weight division. She rivals the G.O.A.T Amanda Nunes and is possibly setting herself up for a trilogy fight with Nunes. The card had a lot of fun fights and we broke them down as usual.
Our conversation shifted to the NBA and we went through the latest news of the week.
The NFL draft happens this week and we just mentioned it briefly as it is starting to look like quarterbacks will be chosen with the first four picks for the first time in history.

#Boxing #MMA #UFC #Fightnight
This episode started with a discussion about the latest boxing event put on by Triller Fight Club. It was really Tiger King for boxing and is giving the sport another black eye. This event had more rappers and music acts than fights. It featured at least two guys that have never had a professional boxing match in their life. The sport of boxing has had enough bad events and incidents that have started to relegate it to a fringe sport in North America. This could have been an all time low. Jake Paul has somehow garnered a huge follwing on social media and somehow convinced Triller to make him the main event. This entire night was strange, weird and really felt pathetic and embarrasing. None of us should have watched it and all of us wished we hadn't once it was done.
The UFC on the other hand had another good fight card and we brokedown it at length. The Main event had the middleweight title challenger eliminator between Robert "Reaper" Whitaker facing Kelvin Gastellum. It was a one sided battle as "Bobby Knuckles" put himself back into the title picture in the middleweight division. His next opponent should be Israel Adesanya the belt holder and this rematch will be a can't miss matchup. We made a huge announcement that Tanner Boser the current UFC Heavyweight contender has agreed to be a guest on one of next weeks podcast episodes. There were a lot of split decisions so close battles were the flavor of the evening. We had a lot of fun analysing the entire card from top to bottom.

#NHL #Tradedeadline #NBA #BLM #UFC #NFL
We talked about Canada's unofficial holiday "NHL Trade Deadline Day". We like all Canadians were up at the crack of 5:00 AM to catch the big news. It was a relatively quiet day with only reportedly 16 deals involving 28 players and 16 draft picks. Once we got back to sleep and dissected the deals later and discussed a couple of trades. This sport is not exactly Jason's expertise so we got into discussing many others.
We received word that all games involiving Minnesota teams were being postponed because of another police shooting of a black man. Duante Wright a 20 year old black man was killed by the Minneapolis police after a traffic stop. This put an already charged up city on high alert and has led to an imposed 23 hour curfew on three local counties. The high profile court case of Derek Chauvin the former police officer who killed George Floyd is in full swing and tensions have been rising as the testimony continued. This is yet another horrible tragedy and has brought up the Black Lives Matter movement and systemic racism debate back to the forefront.
We discussed the NBA and the Golden State Warriors at great length as Steph Curry is set to break a huge record.
We talked a little NCAA and the NFL to close out the episode.

#MLB #OpeningDay #NewYorkMets #BlueJays #BCHL #PentictonPod #NHL
This is a great fun episode done on opening day of MLB and the eve of the BCHL regular season.
We brokedown the league and got into detail of the game between the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays. The Jays took the opening game 3 to 2 in 10 innings. We showed some highlights and discussed the game and the season ahead for the two teams. Cory is a life long New York Mets fan and we went into the prospects of the team for the 2021 season. Francisco Lindor the Mets shortstop signed a 10 year $341 Million dollar contract on the eve of the season. It was the third largest money ever handed out and it was widely applauded by the baseball world. We discussed every division in both leagues and who are the probable front runners for the division titles and the wild card playoff spots.
We spent a lot of time breaking down the short abbreviated 20 game regular season schedule for the BC Hockey League. The league has put together 5 pods and will start these games starting April 2nd and will culminate in the end of the season in just over 5 weeks. Enjoy the discussion of the upcoming sprint to the playoffs.

#UFC260 #UFCApex #AndNew #NBA #NCAA #MarchMadness #NFL
This Sunday edition of the Complete Sports Media podcast checks a lot of boxes. The biggest box is AND NEW for the baddest man on the planet! Francis Ngannou won his rematch with the Heavyweight G.O.A.T. Stipe Miocic in brutal fashion as he knocked him out to rip the belt from his grasp and become the new UFC Heavyweight Champion of the World. We have some reaction videos from his hometown and one of his biggest supporters in Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya. This sets up the newly crowned king with a possible superfight with the G.O.A,T of any weight class Jon "Bones " Jones. There was a twitter tirade from the former Light Heavyweight Champ Jones and it could harm the negotiations for this titanic battle. There were a lot of other great fights on the card and we break down the majority of them.
We spoke about the NBA trade deadline and the moves made and not consumated on Thursday, The Raptors sent Norm Powell to Portland for two players Gary Trent Jr. and Rodney Hood. The two teams faced each other three days later to immediately analyze the trade face to face. Portland came out on top 122 to 117 as the game was happening as we were recording this episode. The leader Kyle Lowry who is the G.R.O.A.T Greatest Raptor of all time wasn't dealt at the deadline as most of the world had speculated that he would be. There were other deals made that seemed to make the rich get richer in the Association. We broke down the trades and signings and had a lot of fun discussing them.
We completed the episode by talking about a few of the off season happenings in the NFL. The league wants to expand the schedule to 17 games and have worked out a new huge social media deal. The full extent of the agreements weren't released but the details were that it could be worth up to 100 billion dollars over 11 years.

#NBA #ElginBaylor #Raptors #UFC #Apex #NFL #DeshaunWatson
This was the best podcast we have ever done with Jason Cameron. We had a great flowing conversation and discussion of the weekend of sports.
This episode started with us speaking about the legend and Hall of Famer Elgin Baylor who passed away today at the age of 86. One of the greatest basketball players in history deserved a lot of great tributes and kudos for a life well lived. We showed a little clip of some of his career highlights and we spoke about his incredible basketball career. We talked about many other aspects of the Association and the Raptors at length.
The UFC had a great card that we went into great detail breaking down. The main event was Derek Brunson facing Kevin Holland and it was a very one sided match with Brunson dominating and taking the five round decision. There were two postponements from the card and we showed some clips of weight cutting troubles that led to one of the fights being pulled from the card.
We ended our conversation talking about the NFL and Deshaun Watson and the 13 lawsuits that have been filed against him this past week by women he has paid to give him massages. They have accused him of inappropriate conduct and harrasment etc. He has denied all of the accusations but it sure seems like it is going to be big trouble for him, the Texans and the NFL.

We had our Monday analyst Jason Cameron join us for a great breakdown of a busy weekend in sports. We discussed the UFC Card Edwards vs Muhammad and we went into detail on most every fight. The main event was stopped because of an eye poke and ruled a no contest. There was another fight that had the same result because of an illiegal knee. Therr were some spectacular Knockouts and we had fun reliving a lot of the big moments.
There were a ton of big and small free agent deals signed today as free agency started on this date. The big winners so far were the Tampa Bay Bucs and the New England Patriots as the adressed a lot of needs and spent big money. We discussed the retirement of Drew Brees who will be a first ballot Hall of Famer and had a great career
The discussion turned to the NBA and the biggest storylines from the weekend and last week. There were some records set and a lot of things to breakdown.

We are in day 10 of the latest 14 day quarantine. We had a great weekend consuming sports ansd especially the UFC 259 frpm Vegas and the NBA All Star game from Atlanta,
It was a historic card as there were three title fights on the card. The first belt changed hands in one of the most controversial finishes in UFC history. Petr Yan the champ was disqualified and had to relinquish the strap when he delivered an illegal knee to the challenger Aljimain Sterling. This was the first Championship decided by a disqualification. The ending of that fight put a cloud over the rest of the event. The 2nd belt on the line pitted Champ Champ Amanda Nunes defending her Featherweight belt and it was really a non event as she swarmed Megan Anderson and forced her to tap to a submission 2:03 into the first round. The Lioness continued her dominance and adds to her legacy of the G.O.A.T. woman in combat sports history. The main event had Jan Blachowicz defending his Light Heavyweight crown against Middle Weight Title holder Israel Adesanya at the 205 division. Izzy was trying to be another Champ Champ but was overmatched and very widely outweighed and lost a decision to the Polish Power.
We broke down the NBA All Star game and the festivities surrounding the event. There was a lot of money raised and quite a bit of entertainment with this strange Covid world with no fans. Team Lebron beat team Durant handily 170 to 150 and Giannis Antetokounmpo won the MVP without missing a shot. He won the Kobe Bryant MVP award going 16 for 16 from the field with even a couple of three pointers. The other two stars were Steph Curry( 3 point shootout winner) with 31 points and Damian Lillard with 32 points himself. They were both 8 for 16 each from three point land and launched many of them from very very long distance. it is such a pleasure to watch both of them play and dial up from long distance.
We watched some footage from a new sport in Russia that has combined wrestling and rugby on a basketball court. It was crazy to watch and if you haven't seen it look up Rugball.
We finished up the episode by talking about the NFL and the biggest story of the day was the Dallas Cowboys signing of QB Dak Prescott to a 4 year $164 Million dollar deal. This contract makes him the second highest paid quarterback in thr league. We will see if it pays off for this team over the length of this huge contract.

If you are a fan of great conversation and baseball then this is an episode for you. Baseball and softball is played by 65 Million people worldwide in 140 different countries and 16 Million in the US. We had Joey Myers the founder of the Hitting Performance Lab reach out and ask to be a guest. Joey is the author of four books on hitting and has helped thousands of kids and adults improve their hitting.
The discussion started with Joey getting into the main principles of the Catapult Loading System whcih propelled his book into a bestseller on Amazon. He really explained in detail the techniques to drive the ball farther.
Joey is from Fresno, California which is located in the central part of the state. Fresno is known for many things but baseball is in the lifeblood of the city. There are many reasons for the incredible hotbed it has always been. In no particular order great weather, top coaching, amazing programs are all keys to the pipeline of talent. Great players such as Tom Seaver, Bobby Bonds, Bobby Cox, Matt Garza among many others originated from Fresno. California "The Golden State" has produced the most major leaguers in history with over 2300 players making the big leagues. There were 24 Hall of fame players with Barry Bonds, Ted Williams, Randy Johnson and Tom Seaver topping the list. Joey and his lab are going to continue to keep California producing great talent and we are hopng that his reach can now spread across the continent.
The baseball talk turned to Canadian ball and 255 players have made major league rosters from the Great White North. Some of the top players were spoke about like Larry Walker, Ferguson Jenkins, Joey Votto, Justin Morneau, Mike Soroka, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and James Paxton were all brought up. There are only five MLB teams that draft the majority of Canadians and those teams were brought up. Both Joey and Darren are hoping to increase the number of Canadians that will progress to the pros in the future.
The technical aspects and in depth detail were great to listen to and start to understand. We at Complete Sports Media highly recommend the books and the Hitting Performance Lab for coaches, parents and individuals that want to improve their hitting.
We finished the conversation by discussing the cheating scandal, steroids and the best hitting coach of all time. It was a really enjoyable way to end a fun and interesting talk about baseball and Joey Myers lifes work.

This was a fun weekend breakdown of sports even though we are still dealing with the pandemic. Covid 19 is getting worse all over North America and is impacting everyones lives. The sporting world is not immune and it affects it daily like it permeates every facet of society.
We went into great detail of week 13 of the NFL. There was a shocking upset of the Seattle Seahawks who were 8 and 3 heading into a battle with the New York Giants who were 4 and 7. The G men won 17 to 12 to get their fourth straight victory and solidify their spot as top in the NFC East. This was the first win for any NFC East team over an opponent who was over .500 on the season. The top of the NFC West was Seattle's alone before this game and now the Rams are the front runner as they beat the Arizona Cardinals 38 to 28. The other upset of the weekend was Cleveland beating the Tennessee Titans 41 to 35 to push their record to 9 and 3 for the first time since 1994. It was the Browns first four game winning streak since 2009. There was a lot of great games and a great breakdown of the week in football.
The NBA was discussed briefly as we talked about the trade of Russell Westbrook from Houston to Washington for John Wall. It was probably a good deal for both teams especially if Wall is able to bounce back from his long term injury troubles. We talked about the impact Covid is already having on the league as there have been 52 positive Covid tests already in the association. It led to the Portland Trailblazers shutting down their facility after 4 positive test results happened today.
The UFC Vegas 16 took place on Saturday and the main event was an amazing tough 5 round battle in the Middleweight division. It was #4 ranked Jack Hermansson against #12 ranked Marvin Vettori in an all out war. The Italian Dream Vettori had a decisive victory winning 4 of 5 rounds and getting his hand raised with a unanimous decision. He should be ranked now in the top 5 and could be in line for another crack at the champ Israel Adesanya again after just one more convincing win. The rest of the card was impacted as two fights were postponed because of Covid and another cancelled at the last minute.
The combat sports continued on Saturday as the huge A T & T stadium in Arlington, Texas was host to boxing. The main event was a fight for the WBC and IBF World Welterweight Championships between the Champ Errol Spence Jr. and Danny Garcia. Spence stayed near the top of the best pound for pound discussion with a dominating victory that was very anticlimatic. Spence used a lethal jab to get the seemingly easy victory. This sets up a titanic battle with Terrence "Bud" Crawford to finally unify the best division in boxing. Enjoy our breakdown of the card and the discussion of the future of the sport.

We had a great conversation about Football, UFC and boxing and unfortunately Covid as tons of positive tests have continued to wreak havoc. The NFL week 12 has been getting crazy with Covid and it has led to games being postponed and teams taking the field severely undermanned. It has become a bit of a farce and the season is in jeopardy.
The UFC main event was cancelled and the main events have kept being affected by the virus. Anthony "Lionheart" Smith won the new main event with a submission victory over Devin"Brown Bear" Clark. Speaking of farces the legends card was a bit of one. We really respect Mauro Ranallo, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Israel Adesanya who called the fight card. It is just not great when two 50 something guys are headlining a fight card. It was not something to celebrate and we hope that they won't put on to many more of these tyoe of cards.
We discussed next weeks very intriguing and excting boxing card with the Main event being Errol Spence Jr. against Danny Garcia. This is the kind of fight we want to witness and break down.

This was a really fun conversation as Jason Cameron used his quarantinetime to really watch weekend sports more intently than ever!
We spoke about the great week 11 of the NFL. There were so many close games that could have been the best weekend of the year.
As the NBA free agency and signing period was in full swing there was so many things to discuss. Huge signings were the biggest topics this week. Training camps open next week after the shortest offseason in league history.
The UFC has set records for having an event so many weekends in a row and they continue to porduce great cards. UFC 255 had title fights in both the mens and womens flyweight divisions. Deiveson Figueiredo defended his belt winning in less than two minutes by guillotine choke over Alex Perez. In the Co-main event Valentina Shevchenko got a unanimous decision victory over Jennifer Maia to retain her belt. The rest of the card had a lot of great fights and we broke them all down.

Greg Kettner is a corporate speaker located In Walla Walla, Washington that focuses his message on trying to impliment humor into peoples lives at work. Greg is a really special guy in the world today and he wants to make the universe laugh for the numerous benefits. He knows that laughter is good for work productivity, health and well being, and last but not least enjoyment of life! This eventually led to his highly sought after corporate speaking engagements that have received incredibly high praise and testimonials!
Our host Darren Campbell has known Greg for many, many years and was able to book some time in his valuable and busy schedule to have a great conversation.
Greg is an amazing storyteller and is a very funny guy. We especially loved the Wayne Gretzky stories that were shared between the two of them. There was also a crazy story involving Robin Williams and the Queen that weaved between fantasy and reality that made us laugh in the studio. There were a bunch of other interesting stories that are so entertaining to watch and listen to. This episode had many lifechanging moments that are inspiring and amazing to hear about. This was such a great podcast and we hope that it reinvigorates your life as much as it did to our lives. If you have a company contact Greg and book him to come in and inspire your employees you will so happy that you did!
Thank you so much Greg for sharing your stories and insight into your life!
We talked a little about Walla Walla and the vineyards and a couple sporting legends that are from that community. Drew Bledsoe former QB of the New England Patriots is running his family winery there called Doubleback. The other guy we mentioned was Eddie "The King" Feigner a legend in the world of Mens softball. He eventually led a touring team called "The King and his Court" and they played over ten thousand games in over 100 countries. They achieved widespread fame that was similar to the Harlem Globetrotters. They ended up compiling incredible records 9,743 wins, and Feigner had 141,517 strikeouts, 930 no hitters, and 238 perfect games. They didn't have a team like the Washington Generals they actually played local select softball teams that were gunning to beat the legends. The other incredible aspect of this team was that it was a four man "team" consisting of Eddie the pitcher and catcher a first baseman and a shortstop.

We had a great conversation with Dale Cory discussing the Masters golf tournament, junior hockey and MLB.
It was fun to talk about a historic Masters that was held 7 months late in front of almost no patrons. Dustin Johnson set a bunch of records as he lead wire to wire and shot a record -20 268 as he was able to win and put on the green jacket for the first time. It was a really fun breakdown as we dove into so many of the story lines that emerged over the four days.
We talked at length about junior hockey and the Okanagan cup that just wrapped up this weekend with the Penticton Vees taking the title over the Vernon Vipers. They played 12 games and it culminated in a 3 to 2 win in overtime. It was a great tourney and the Vees won 11 of 12 to really gain confidence as the regular season starts on December 4th.
We then spoke about the huge hiring in MLB as Kim Ng became the first woman named a General Manager in Major league baseball taking over the Florida Marlins. Her resume is incredibly impressive as she was part of the Dodgers and Yankees organizations in various capacities and the league office for a decade. Way to go Kim and kudos to Derek Jeter and the Marlins organization. An incredible milestone and trailblazer achieving her dream job after being one of the hardest working people in the sport

This is a milestone podcast as we broke at least a couple of records and probably multiple milestones. In the early stages of the episode our host Darren Campbell gets into the details on the life accomplishment records Jeff Meszaros would have set in the history of this podcast! When you watch and listen please let us know if we were correct in our assessment. There is a short intro from Darren but thankfully Jeff gets into much greater detail on his colorful life history. He talks about being a long time martial arts practitioner(36 years and counting), a Jiu Jitsu instructor, a long time radio guy, and MMA journalist among other things.
Jeff Wombat Meszaros is a pioneer starting with the early days of underground forums that is now www.mixedmartialarts.com . Those early days were also the first years of the internet and they were basically chat groups for the MMA enthusiasts. The Wombat had funny takes and got a name for himself that started leading to more opportunities. Arnold Lim who had a website called MMA ring report asked Jeff to write UFC predictions for the site. This opened doors and Jeff smashed them down and started to become a well known and respected MMA journalist. He wrote for numerous fight magazines with humor, wit and unprecedented insight to the combat world. This eventually led to a once in a lifetime opportunity with BodogTV to be a fulltime travelling MMA reporter. He was sent by them all over the world to cover mixed martial arts events. He had been working full time in the radio business and was a part time writer for MMA. He quit radio and jumped at the chance to make this hobby become his career. You really have to listen and watch to the rest of the podcast to hear the stories and gain insight to a great life well lived.
Thank you Jeff for a small piece of your valuable time and for sharing stories and reflection on the first few chapters of your life! . It would be nice to have Jeff as a semi regular guest as well because he has a lifetime of stories that should be shared again. He also is continuing to give a lot to his community by teaching jiu jitsu to many people that get the huge benefits of training in martial arts. Thanks again Jeff!

# #PGA #Masters #November #Tiger #Bryson
This is a great preview for this unprecedented Masters held in November in front of no patrons this year. Complete Sports has not been blessed with Casey's presence for a while as he went on holidays when the Fed Ex Cup playoffs concluded. We were very happy to welcome him back to do his great analysis and preview of this huge tournament. It was fun to look back on many epic moments in this tournaments history. We discussed the 1997 epic Tiger win, the 2003 tournament that Mike Weir won, the 2004 first major win for Phil Mickelson and the 2005 win by Tiger Woods. Also we discussed last years historic comeback win by Tiger that took place 19 months ago.
Our host Darren Campbell said he made a mistake when he reminisced about Phil Mickelson"s first Masters win in 2004 actually being the 2010 third Masters victory for Phil was the one that he watched with his Grandfather. Draftkings gives golf fans lots of opportunities to have extra fun watching the tournament and we went over the many options to play. www.draftkings.com to create your lineups. Have a great time watching this tournament that will go down in history and will not be forgotten for the rest of our lives!

In a historic week in the world as the US elected a new president as it took longer than ever to count the votes! Lets hope for a great future for the country and world at large!
Jason was in an especially good and funny mood for this episode. Week nine in the NFL was a lot of fun to watch with many storylines. We broke down every game through the weekend.
The UFC was highlighted by some "old guys" getting massive victories in UFC Vegas 13. Glover Texeira and Andrei Arlovski were the first two over forty year olds to win both the main and co-main fights on the same card in UFC history

This is a short preview of the short NBA season that starts tomorrow. It will be reduced to a 72 game schedule from December 22nd to May 16th. Two big games kick off the festivities on Tuesday and there are five big matchups that are scheduled for Christmas day.

This is a really fun breakdown of the Halloween weekend in sports. The NFL has reached the halfway mark despite the global pandemic and the out of control Covid crisis. There have been positive tests but the NFL just keeps chugging along. It was fun to discuss all of the division rival games and being on the eve of the trading deadline we had deals to break down.
We briefly talked about the NBA and specifically about the hiring of Mike D'Antoni to be the assistant coach of the Brooklyn Nets. Steve Nash had Mike as his coach in Phoenix when he was the two time MVP of the NBA and he returned the favor by hiring him. It was a great move and we both agreed it was going to be fun for the team and league.
The UFC had another card and another retirement of one of the G.O.A.T.'s of the sport. Last week it was Khabib Nurmagamedov and this week it was Anderson "The Spider" Silva. The 45 year old living legend finally is appearing in the Octagon for the last time. We brokedown the entire card from this past weekend and the upcoming one.

In order to survive the new world we live in we all need to have things to look forward to. We also need excitement and passion and sports can deliver all of these things.
This past weekend the boxing world garnered a lot of attention with the big fight between Vasyl Lomachenko vs Teofimo Lopez. There were four title belts on the line in the 135lb lightweight division. There was an upset and it was a great fight.
We got into discussing week six of the NFL and all of the great games and storylines that came out this past weekend.
It was a great breakdown of the UFC Fight Night with the main event between Brian "Tcity" Ortega vs Chang Sung Jung " The Korean Zombie" It was an incredible performance by Ortega and the Zombie added more legend to his life story. We talked at length of most of the card. We also looked forward to next weekends UFC 254 and gave some analysis and predictions for your viewing and listening pleasure.

#NBA #Lakers #TheKing #NFL #UFC This is another fantastic weekend wrapup of the world of sports. We discussed the NBA finally crowning a champion in the bubble. Lebron James has restored the championship pedigree to the historic Lakers organization and was able to deliver their 17th NBA title. It was fun to breakdown the longest season in NBA history and how magical the playoffs seemed. Check out Head Coach Frank Vogel on David Letterman as a ten year old kid https://youtu.be/4v5fndP7ELY
We talked about the NFL who continues even though they had to reschedule another 8 games because of Covid-19 positive tests. The Seattle Seahawks were the first up to talk about. The Canadian wide receiver Chase Claypool from Abbotsford had a game to remember with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. The rookie scored 4 touchdown himself on the receiving and one rushing score. Jason who also calls Abbotsford his hometown was heaping high praise on the the emerging star. We broke down all of the games on the schedule.
The conversation turned to this past weekends UFC fight card from Abu Dhabi's fight island. It is quickly becoming known as the card of the spinning knockouts. Both Cody Sandhagen and Joaquin Buckley had incredible finishes that were great to witness. Buckley had one of the greatest KO's in history. If you haven't seen it please find it and prepare to be blown away. https://youtu.be/OTwO2o7_kFk

This was a great podcast breaking down the weekend of sports. This was the end of week 4 as Covid-19 has pentrated the NFL league forcing the postponement of a couple of games. There was a lot of great on field action to discuss and we had fun getting into it.
The NBA was in the finals as the Miami Heat finally got a win in the third game of their series against the Lakers. Jimmy F....ing Butler was a beast scoring 40 points 13 assists and 11 rebounds in the 115 to 104 victory. Game four goes Tuesday as Miami tries to tie the series.
The UFC had another great card headlined by a masterful performance by Holly Holm. Another fighter from the same fight camp in Albuquerque, New Mexico got a huge win that was very crucial for him. Carlos "The Natural Born Killer" Condit had lost 5 fights in a row and was out of the game for nearly two years. He came back and had a massive victory over Court Mcgee. We brokedown the card as usual so enjoy!

We were blessed to welcome Sami Jo Small the 3 time Olympian, 5 time world Champion female hockey goaltender and new author for an episode of Complete Sports Media's podcast. Her new book "The Role I Played" was just released over the last few weeks is a must read for virtually anyone and everyone. We loved the book and were thrilled to have this conversation and share it with you. Sami's quote unquote day job is now a professional speaker and our conversation was in depth and lengthy as a result. She has been recognized as one of only 500 speakers worldwide with the Certified Speaking Professional designation. With all of our research into her life, career and book we could have talked for many more hours but we had to let her get on with her busy life. We highly recommend watching the entire conversation but if you need to consume it in more than one sitting we understand. Rush out and purchase a copy of her book for yourself and two or three more for friends and family and they will thank you immensely. There are a lot of life lessons and a great story that she shares with the world that we should embrace and promote.
Enjoy this podcast and we hope this is the start of getting many more inspirational female guests like this on a regular basis. Please give us feedback and go get this book you will be glad that you did!

#NFL #Openingweekend #NBA #UFC
A fantastic and fun breakdown of the NFL, NBA and UFC. We are so blessed to have this much sports to consume these days! The other part that is fun is that we get to break them down on this podcast platform! The year of 2020 has been horrible in so many regards but there has been a silver lining for us as the sports world has been providing us with so much entertainment. Our conversation started with talk about the opening weekend of the NFL and all of the storylines that emerged. There were 5 Pro Bowl quarterbacks making their debut with new franchises and so light was shining on them to see how they would do. Tom Brady was not great but his replacement Cam Newton was. Tyrod Taylor played solidly in his Chargers debut in a win. Phillip Rivers who left the Chargers for the Indy Colts took a loss and so did Teddy Bridgewater with Carolina after leaving New Orleans. It was another great perfomance by long time Seahawk Russell Wilson who was incredibly accurate and was huge in victory. The breakdown of the league was very in depth and we covered many games and topics. The NBA conference finals are set in the East as it will be Miami vs Boston which should be a great dogfight and memorable series. The Lakers have punched their ticket to the Western Finals with their five game dismantling of the Houston Rockets. The other spot in the final has yet to be decided as the Denver Nuggets have roared back from a three games to one deficit to force a seventh game against the LA Clippers. Denver have been amazingly resilient in this series and the playoffs as whole. They came back from three games to one down to Utah last round and won it in seven. We will see tomorrow who pulls out the big win. It shapes up to be Nikola Jokic against Kawhi Leonard for all of the marbles of this series! We also discussed the UFC card that featured a great 5 round battle in the main event. Michelle Waterson took a great split decision victory over Angela Hill that was a phenomenal battle. Their was a lot of great finishes and decision wins and you should check out our breakdown. Support our partners and sponsors Anchor FM, Verbero and Forever Living. # NHLPlayoffs #Vancouver #Canucks #Nash #TomSeaver
We welcomed Dale Cory into our podcast to talk about a variety of sports. The conversation started out discussing the Vancouver Canucks and how they staved off elimination in game 5. They heavily relied on their back up goalie Thatcher Demko who had not had a start in six months and had only played 8 minutes in the playoffs so far. Jacob Markstrom the Canucks MVP and #1 goalie was a surprise late scratch for that game and it led to Demko making his NHL playoff debut. Thatcher was the first goalie to win in his playoff debut since Jose Theodore with the Canadiens in 1997. The Canucks play game 6 tonight and must play a lot better to win and force a game 7. The Vegas Golden Knights outshot the Canucks 43 to 17 and have the majority of play in the Canucks zone in that last game.
We spoke about the big news of Steve Nash being hired to be the coach of the Brooklyn Nets. For those of you that don't know Steve Nash is a former 2 time MVP of the NBA and played 18 seasons in the Association. He is a Canadian who grew up in Victoria, BC just like our host Darren Campbell. The Nets will be significantly better next season as they should have a healthy Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving among many others. There are a few coaches that have won NBA titles in their first year at a new role. Steve Kerr, Ty Lue and Nick Nurse were all able to hoist the Larry OB in their inaugural year so there is some examples of this kind of move working.
Our conversation then shifted to Tom Seaver the Hall of Fame pitcher who passed away on August 31st. Seaver played 20 seasons in MLB and won 311 games in his career and had his biggest success with the New York Mets. Dale is a Mets fan and Seaver was the reason and his all time favorite player. He had some great words to say about a great and legendary icon from the world of baseball.

Our host Darren Campbell was informed on the weekend that he was in contact with someone that tested positive for Covid. This put him in a mandatory 14 day quarantine of self isolation. It is not ideal but he will be able to watching a ton of sports and break it down with a bunch of analysts now.
This is a long episode so consume it in pieces but watch and listen to it in full soon as it is a very entertaining conversation.
They first talked about the NFL and the big JJ Watt signing of a two year contract in Arizona. The deal was for $31 Million dollars with $24 Million guaranteed. He is reunited with DeAndre Hopkins and former Houston defensive coordinator Vance Joseph.
The conversation shifted to MMA as they broke down the UFC Vegas 20 card featuring a heavyweight tilt between Ciryl Gane vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik . It wasn't the best card of recent memory but had some fun fights to discuss.
Darren and Jason then spoke of the NBA and the top stories that emerged from the weekend.
They finished the episode off with the other top stories from the NFL.

This was a fun conversation with an emerging podcast legend William Walley. He created the World of Walley podcast just over a year ago and it has really been taking off in popularity. William reached out to the Complete Sports Media team and asked to be a guest to talk about sports and tell us some great life stories.
We had a great time discussing the opening of spring training baseball and his love of the National Pastime. He had serious dreams of a MLB career until an accident derailed those dreams. This unfortunate accident never diminished his love for the sport and he waxed poetic of the greatness of the game.
Walley is a football fan and his story of meeting Aaron Rodgers the quarterback of his favorite team the Green Bay Packers is really fun to listen to! We are very happy that this turned out to be such a fun podcast and Walley is now a friend of the show! Thanks for watching and listening as usual.
